Lahore City

Lahore is the major and one of the most famous city of Pakistan. It is called the heart of the country. The city contains the major and most historic buildings and all the aspects of our traditional heritage. Many of markets like Gawal Mundi, Food Street are famous for their variety of spices and traditional dishes.

All the traditional festivals and events in which the people of the city take part with full zest and enthusiasm is found no where rather then Lahore; The old proverb “The one who have not seen Lahore is not born” depicts the true importance and value of Lahore city. The people of Lahore are full of courage, brave and their hospitality is known worldwide.

Lahore is the capital of the Pakistani province of Punjab and the second largest city in Pakistan after Karachi. Historically the main city of the undivided Punjab it is often called the Garden ofMughal because of its rich Mughal heritage.

 Mughal structures such as the Badshahi Mosque, the Lahore Fort, Shalimar Gardens, and the mausolea of Jehangir and Nur Jehan are popular tourist attractions for the city. Lahore is also home to many British colonial structures built in the Mughal-Gothic style, such as the Lahore High Court, the General Post Office (GPO), the Lahore Museum, and many older universities including the University of the Punjab. Lahore is often referred to as the cultural heart of Pakistan, as it is the center of Pakistani arts, films and intelligentsia.

Apart from all this cultures, tradition and heritage, the people of Lahore are highly civilized and own the lion’s heart. Brotherhood is under their blood.

It is one of the most prosperous and well developed cities of Pakistan. The road and streets are well maintained and there in nothing in the world which is not found here except the pyramids of Egypt, the Great Wall of China and Taj Mahal.  But as this city is developing and prospering day by day, it is also expected the people of Lahore would soon have their own Eiffel tower in Lahore city.
